Associate Medical Director
Christopher Gavaldon is the Associate Medical Director of PresNow Paseo/Coors Urgent and Emergency Care. He also practices as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for Presbyterian Medical Group and embraces the opportunity to care and advocate for our NM community. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the New Mexico Air National Guard, he proudly represents NM as the Aeromedical PA-C for the wing. Throughout his career he has focused on the growth of others and thus continues as adjunct faculty at one of NM’s Physician Assistant programs, The University of St Francis. He values the ability to help others develop total quality in their lives and careers and is grateful to be able to facilitate a number of resiliency and communication programs for his fellow medicine colleagues. He has been honored as the 2019 Distinguished Fellow PA by the NM Academy of Physician Assistants and as an Outstanding Advanced Practice Clinician for Presbyterian Medical Group in 2018.
Christopher was born and raised in the South Valley of Albuquerque, NM and considers his close connection with his family, friends, colleagues, patients, and community to be foundational in his life. He attended St Pius High School and earned his BA in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. While earning his MS in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of St Francis, he developed a Diversity Education program, which was incorporated into the programs core curriculum.
